Indiana Jones* is known for his adventures. He was very courageous in his endeavors to complete whatever mission he was on. I love the step of faith scene where he steps off a cliff believing somehow he will make it to the other side of the canyon.

I was thinking about Indy when I was reading about some of our persecuted missionaries around the world. These people have boldly smuggled Bibles, held underground churches, and even trained pastors knowing that they are putting their lives on the line. These people are not doing this to earn heaven, rather they are sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ that they have already experienced.
Many are currently in jail, and thanks to websites like http://www.persecution.com/, we can read about them, pray for them, and even write letters to them! So some of these people have similar adventures like Indiana Jones*. Instead of saying “This belongs in a museum.” They may say something like “This Bible belongs in the hand of every person that desires one.”
So what? We can’t all be like Indiana Jones* right? Well, actually we can. Here are two ways we can get started.
1. Get involved. Use the persecution.com website or find an other way to connect (current church missionaries?), learn about, and pray for those who are in the persecuted church.
2. Think about your own life. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, what kind of adventures for the Gospel have you been a part of?
Every adventure begins with one step. Are you ready to take that step?
